This platform was born from an unlikely journey.
Our founder Johnny spent over a decade building his career in tech, leading the design and implementation of platforms handling over $67 million in business, serving as the core technical lead of his team. Then life took an unexpected turn — a double blow from the pandemic and a personal relationship brought his world crashing down. His career and life collapsed almost overnight, and he had to start over.
He made his way across California, starting from the most ordinary working life. Over those years, he worked side by side with workers from every trade: painters, plumbers, cleaners, electricians, movers, gardeners. They were skilled and hardworking, yet they struggled to find work. Platforms and labor brokers took 25% to 50% of their earnings. They had no way to prove their worth to strangers.
On the family side, the picture was just as broken. There was no trusted platform to help homeowners find reliable help — people cobbled together leads from WeChat groups, old Yellow Pages, even newspaper classifieds. There wasn't even a way to leave a review for a worker who did good work.
He started asking: what if there was a platform that actually worked for workers — and truly served families? A place where strangers could genuinely trust each other?
After more than five years of rebuilding, with a deep and personal understanding of what skilled workers in America actually face, he founded HomeJobUS.
“I worked ordinary jobs in California. I still remember the look of relief on customers' faces when they finally found someone they could trust. This platform was built for you.”
