1. Platform Purpose
HomeJobUS is a direct-connect platform linking US homeowners with individual service professionals — plumbers, electricians, cleaners, and more. Our core mission is to eliminate middlemen, enabling pros to earn fair wages and homeowners to pay fair prices.
2. No Subcontracting (Core Rule)
The following are strictly prohibited:
• Accepting a job on the platform and subcontracting it to another worker while collecting a markup or management fee.
• Registering as an individual pro but acting as a contractor (i.e., dispatching other workers to serve homeowners).
• Creating any layered subcontracting relationship that introduces a middleman.
Violations result in permanent account suspension with no refund or appeal.
The Multi-trade Pro category is for individual professionals who can personally perform multiple trade types — it does not permit operating a labor dispatch team.
🚫 The platform prohibits all forms of internal subcontracting. Pros must personally perform the work — no acting as a middleman.
3. Eligibility
Homeowners: Must be 18+, have lawful US residency or authorization, and post genuine service needs.
Pros: Must be 18+, have real hands-on skills for the services they offer, hold valid work authorization, and be personally responsible for service quality and safety. Pros must provide services as individuals — not as a middleman company.
4. Quotes & Payment
All quotes are set independently by pros. The platform does not interfere with pricing. After a homeowner accepts a quote, payment method is agreed upon by both parties (online payment and cash are both supported). The platform is not liable for transaction disputes but provides a mediation channel.
5. Review System
Both parties may leave reviews after service completion. Reviews must be honest — fake positive reviews and malicious negative reviews are both prohibited. All reviews are publicly displayed and cannot be deleted, to maintain transparency.
6. Privacy
A homeowner's full service address is kept private during the bidding phase — pros only see the city/ZIP. The full address is shared only with the specific pro whose quote is accepted. We never sell user data to third parties.
7. Limitation of Liability
HomeJobUS is an information marketplace, not an employer or staffing agency. We are not jointly liable for service quality, safety, or legality, but we maintain platform integrity through identity verification, reviews, and reporting mechanisms.
8. Updates
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
